IPL moves out of India

Its hard to believe but its true, The Indian Premier League moves out of India. News that the second Indian Premier League cricket (IPL 2009) tournament will be moved outside India has come as a major disappointment across the the cricket fans and especially the crazy IPL fans.
Who is to be blamed for this? Probably its the attitude of the Indian government that IPL has been forced to move out of India due to security reasons!
The Indian Premier League is scheduled to take place between April 10 and May 24; the elections overlap almost exactly, in five different phases around the country. More than 700 million people are eligible to vote, and more than 2 million law enforcement officials are to be deployed.
The League chairman, Lalit Modi, said the tournament would be broadcast on Indian prime time television, and that the league would announce the location of the games by Monday evening.
“Unfortunately, we cannot play in India because of election issues,” Mr. Modi said, flanked by two celebrity team owners, actors Preity Zinta and Shah Rukh Khan. “It’s a domestic tour being held at international venues.”
