About MA Chidambaram Stadium

The M. A. Chidambaram Stadium is a cricket stadium in Chennai is named after M. A. Chidambaram, the former President of BCCI and the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.
The stadium was also known as Madras Cricket Club Ground or Chepauk Stadium.
Cricket has been played at Chepauk since 1865. The present Madras Cricket Club (MCC) Pavilion was built in 1892. The famous Madras Presidency matches - between local Indians and Europeans - began at this ground in 1915-16.
MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk) is the home ground for Chennai Super Kings.
